Is It Really Critical to Not Wear Lotion While On The HCg Diet?

Q: hey I have yet to receive my HCG .. I received the shots like a week ago .. anyway .. Y do we bother to pay for money for expedite shipping it stills take forever to get to us .. ??

one question I do have ,, is it really critical to not wear lotion .. use certain shampoos and toothpastes ??

A: Hello Mariann, it is best to try a stick to the protocol as closely as possible. Lotions seem to be a big problem when it comes to chemicals. I used the virgin coconut oil as my lotion during the protocol since it is something we needed to ingest anyway. Try to not use anything else for the first few days, and slowly introduce the shampoo and other items into you system. If you continue to lose weight, them you should be fine. If your weight loss diminishes, then you can make adjustments accordingly.

HCg Diet Q & A Where to Inject HCg In The Body?

Q: HI Colin,
I do not know if you recieve these emails.
I do have some questions that I have not found a definitive answer. Can HCG be administered subcutaneously with the same results as if one were to do an IM? If IM is the way to go then what kind of needle gauge and how deep does one need to go? Could I use an insulin needle and inject directly into my shoulder and thus getting into some muscle? If SQ is equally effective does it have to be around the navel or into any fat tissue?

A: Hello John, thank you for your question, Hcg works best when injected subcutaneously. The shoulder, thigh, or belly are all fine locations for injections. Insilin needles are recommended for the hcg shots. The injection site does not have to be around the navel, however, this is a popular spot for the hcg injections, as long as there is not a great deal of fat in the location. I, like you, was an athlete my whole life. For the last 10 years mostly in the field of MMA. About 4 years ago I had to have double knee surgery and still require more knee surgeries. These next surgeries being complete knee replacements. I have continuously been going up and up in weight and went from 210lbs at 12% BF to my personal heaviest 280lbs at 25%.

Due to the knee problems from years of MMA and weight lifting I am no longer able to do the cardio that I once used as my "main weight maintenance tool". So that brings me to where I am now. I stumbled across your youtube HCG protocol video completely by accident. But it motivated me to do extensive research on the subject of the protocol diet. I am very familiar with nutrition and dieting but have never really put much thought to this program.

When I initially heard of the diet. I have to admit it was in a negative light. It had more to do with "the weight loss cure" author Kevin being arrested for fraud. So immediately it put me on the defensive about diet.
Long story short, after seeing your success and others success and reading "pounds and inches" I have ordered the "weight loss cure".

I actually started my HCG diet protocol on sat. I loaded for 2 days, probably not as much as I should have. I started the actual diet on mon and was relatively hungry throughout the day on the VCLD. I do not know if this is normal, today (tues) I had a minor headache but do not feel as hungry.I am using 250 i.u daily and taking it sub Q to the abdomen.I guess the purpose of my long email is to get any additional information you feel like sharing.

I am very dedicated and even weigh out my food daily just as I am supposed to do. I want to make sure I do everything perfect to maximize the benefits of the protocol. So any advice or protocol secrets you are willing to share would be very helpful and much appreciated.

A.Hey Dan , thank you for your email. I am impressed with your dedication, and am jealous of you MMA background, I have been wanting to learn MMA fighting for years now. With that said, you seem to be on the right tract, I am curious how much weight you lost after the first day on the actual diet.

That will help me determine if you are injecting enough HCG. If you are carrying allot of fat around the mid section, then I would use the shoulder or thigh are for the injection sites to make sure all the hcg is entering your system. drinking allot water is very important to try and hit the gallon a day if you can.

also, if you have a gym membership, low impact treadmill walk at 15% incline if your knee can handle that, and 3 to 3.2 mph should help you burn about 500 calories. moderate exercise will help you drop the weight faster, if your energy levels are OK. The hunger should pass, however, if you really are struggling, you can chose to have an extra piece of protein at night. Hcg Mixing Instructions

I Recommend that you purchase 10,000 IUs for a 40 day cycle. However instead of buying the HCG in one large 10,000 IU vial, we recommend that you order it in the quantity of two (2) 5,000 IU vials in larger vials like the ones pictured below or purchase five 2,000 IU vials. We also recommend you take 250 IUs per day for the HCG dosage over a 40 day cycle. To mix the 5,000 IUs of HCG that come in the "large" vials, simply remove 5ml of bacteriostatic water with a syringe from that vial, and inject it into the vial with the 5,000 IU worth of HCG powder. When the syringe is removed, tip the vial on its side and gently roll it back and forth in your palms for a few seconds to mix it. DO NOT SHAKE THE HCG TO MIX IT!

The larger vials pictured above are targeted for people taking HCG in smaller daily amounts of HCG over longer time periods, like those of us on the HCG protocol. While the "tiny" vials below are geared more towards people taking a larger weekly HCG dosage, like those who take steroids for example. There is absolutely no difference between one type of HCG and the other because the HCG powder is still "purified injectable grade" HCG. The only difference is the vial sizes and the amount of bacteriostatic water that arrives with the packaging. Those are the only 2 differences.

"Tiny" 1-2ml vial combo

If the HCG arrives in a tiny 1-2ml vial combo like pictured in the photo above, then you will need to dilute it in the tiny vial in order to move it to a larger mixing vial. You may use the smaller vial of bacteriostatic water (AKA solvent with some brands) during this mixing time, save it for another time, or discard it since you will need to purchase the larger vial of bacteriostatic water in order to complete the mixing process anyway. In order to dilute the HCG, inject about 1-2ml of bacteriostatic water into the tiny vial in order to liquidize it. Then you can move it into a larger vial with a syringe. Inject the 1-2ml into the tiny vial with the syringe without touching the sides of the vial to keep it sterile. If you do contact the side of the vial, either wipe it with an alcohol wipe or get a new syringe before drawing the remaining bacteriostatic water out of the vial. While the HCG is soaking into the bacteriostatic water, draw out the remaining 3-4ml and add it to the 5ml+ mixing vial as well. Now that it has been at least a minute or two, use the syringe to draw out the small amount of mixed HCG

All of the other sizes of ordering HCG mix the same way, but the numbers will change. Just remember that all of the mixing ratios are based on 1ml of bacteriostatic water for every 1,000 IU of HCG. Some common sizes for example are listed at the bottom of this page.


Glossary and Terms

Ampule: The size listed is the IU amount of HCG.

Solvent: The amount of solvent in cc's you will need for injections. The solvent you use can be either bacteriostatic water or sterile water. I have heard of people using distilled water, but I do not recommend it.

Dosage: The amount of HCG mixture in cc's that you will give yourself per injection, whether intramuscular or subcutaneous.

Injection yield: the amount of injection days you'll get if you use these proportions.


Conversions

1cc = 1ml (some manufactures supply in cc’s and some in ml’s)

IU = International Unit

1cc = 100 IUs

cc = cubic centimeters

ml = milliliter


HCG Life Expectancy

A 5,000 IU mixture at 250 IU HCG injections per day will last for 20 days and a 2,000 IU vial at 250 IU HCG injections would last for 8 days. Mathematically a 10,000 IU vial would last for 40 days at 250 IUs, however freshness is a concern as HCG typically only lasts about 30 days after it is mixed. The 10,000 IU vials are great for couples who are doing the HCG protocol together.



Common Sizes

2,000 IUs - Mix the 2,000 IUs of HCG with the 2ml of bacteriostatic water the same way the rest of the directions state for 5,000 IUs above. Just substitute the numbers in the directions, and replace 5ml with 2ml and 5,000 IUs with 2,000 IUs, etc.

10,000 IUs - Again, it is all the same as the ones above, but substitute the numbers; 5ml with 10ml, 5,000 IUs with 10,000 IUs, etc.
